Duplicate the background layer:

Right click on layer to copy your background layer.

You can not alter a background layer and so you must copy the layer before you can make changes to the image.

Healing Brush Tool (similar to the clone stamp just below it)

 

Alt and click in the good area and then click on any imperfections to heal them. Unfortunately with this image it is hard to give you an example!

Levels

Use this tool to correct the contrast. You need the two outside markers to start and end just at the "foothills" of the histogram

Save for the web.

Photos save as JPEG and make sure the image is the correct size (average screens are between 800 and 1000 pixels wide so choose your size carefully)

CROP tool.

select the area of the crop by clicking and drag to required size. Hit enter to complete the crop.

Other Tools Filter / sharpen / unsharp mask - makes you less of a blurr
  File browser - at the top right of the screen you can use the file browser to view thumbnails of your images
