| Investigation notes for "This is MY Life" Investigation is an essential stage in the design cycle. You are expected to identify the problem, develop a design brief and formulate a design specification. You are expected to acknowledge the sources of information and document these appropriately. This is the problem: "This next challenge is to create an audio visual memento of your achievements, likes,dislikes, opinions and / or values" You should discuss the problem at the beginning of you report while developing guiding questions to drive research. Think about the different ways of tackling the challenge. You need to be able to assess the impact of your design on life, society and or the environment at the end of the project, therfore, come up with a message and focus for your product. What do you want to say with your presentation? You should make sure that your investigation report is arranged in an original way – you should not include any sub-headings from MYPTech (MDTech) and / or repeat any questions and tasks – only include your work or reference what is copied. The main area for improvement for most students is in the description and development of the problem. Remember you need to be able to assess the impact of your design on life, society and or the environment at the end of the project. You also need to acknowledge all sources and must include detailed tests one of which will test the products impact as discussed earlier. You also need to discuss the guiding questions again at the evaluate stage, your design brief is vital at the evaluation stage and you must design a test that will tell you if you have been successful or not. |
