DESIGN: Design your Logo
Make sure your logo stands out from your competitors’.
YOU SHOULD DRAW YOUR LOGOS IN PENCIL DURING THE DESIGN STAGE.
During the design stage you are going to create Logos that reflect your personality and interests.
- Start with a signature style logo. Draw two or three different signature logos. Write your name. Use the examples here and here to help you.
- Write a list of words that describe you. These will be used when you create your designs in question 3.
- Now try to design some mark style logos that describe you. Use the words you created earlier to help. You need at least three. Examples here.
- Finally create some wordmark logos. Again at least three. Examples here.
How are you going to evaluate the success of your logos?
- Create a test to evaluate your logos using the design specifications set out in your investigation.

- Evaluate your 3 best logo designs logos by using your test (a table like the one above). For example you may have said that your logo must have bold colours. Look at your designs, give high marks to the designs with bold colours and low marks for those without. Repeat for each of your specification points.
- Using your evaluation select one design which your tests show is the most successful at meeting your design specifications. Explain your choice by discussing how and why it best fits your design brief
- Create a detailed drawing of your final product design (This should show the materials you want to use and should include the scale)
