Some common chord progressions:

Move your mouse over one of the chords (big bold letters) opposite. Click on the subtractor synthesiser in Reason. Use the pencil tool to draw in the three red notes for each chord. You can use the progressions below or make up your own.

Rock:I | IV | I |V - A,D, A, E and D, G, D, A

Ska / Reggae: I | IV | I |V - B, E, B,F#

simple 12 bar blues - I | IV | I | I | IV | IV | I | I | V | IV | I | I

You can make the melody for your song out of any of the orange coloured notes in any order. (you can also use the two yellow ones but they may not always work)
